A High-Leverage Way to Reflect, Manifest, and Reset with Your Cycle

We all know the power of monthly resets, of reflections, and manifestations (yes, I’m using those keywords to keep you hooked :)). But we, women as cyclical beings, have another superpower: intuition.

And intuition actually ebbs and flows during your cycle. It’s always there, but there’s a phase where your intuition is at its strongest. It is the phase where you naturally turn more inward, where you’re closer to your emotions - and to your inner guidance.

So if you’re a woman ready to embrace your natural rhythm, maybe it’s time to trade the rigid calendar deadlines for something deeper. It's time to tap into your innate power and do a cycle reset instead of a standard monthly reset.

The Seasons Of The Cycle

If you’re already engaging in feminine energy and holistic health conversations, you are likely an expert in this field. However, if not, I want to give you a quick overview. Not from a clinical, biological standpoint, but a holistic one.

You can view your cycle through the lens of the seasons. With that said, keep in mind that this process is dynamic and fluctuating. There are no hard corners. It’s a gradual change that is completely different for every individual female being - and it can certainly differ from cycle to cycle. The more you are in tune with yourself (and practices like intentional living and mindfulness absolutely help with this), the easier it is to listen to your body, act accordingly, and step into your full feminine power.

  • Follicular phase: Right after your period, this is your springtime. You are ready to bloom, to dance, to grow, and to glow - and your body is fully supporting you by getting into motion. You will feel your energy returning, and you'll find yourself full of fresh inspiration. It’s when life gains speed, color, and excitement.

  • Ovulatory phase: It’s summer, baby. Your springtime made you ready for it - now you are actually blooming full force. You glow from the inside out, and the sparks have turned into a fire. In this phase, you can literally move mountains.

  • Luteal phase: Let’s slow down a little bit, because we are entering the autumn season. We can feel our energy decreasing, and we start to feel a natural pull toward comfort, me-time, and deeper self-care.

  • Menstrual phase: We’re wintering. Now it’s not just a gentle pull; we actively crave comfort, and slow, cozy spaces are at the forefront of our needs. We are deeply inward-focused, and we feel most at peace when giving ourselves absolute, no-questions-asked self-love, deep care, and gentleness.

How to Use It to Your Power

I once wrote about seasonal living, and the concept here is actually pretty similar. We can dread the fact that this cycle happens roughly every month, or we can celebrate the fact that we get a brand-new beginning every few weeks. I don’t know about you, but I freakin’ love new beginnings and fresh chances.

For a true cycle reset, we want to focus on the late luteal and beginning menstrual phase. This is the window where we are most in tune with our intuition, simply because we are naturally inward-focused and closer to our emotional core. It is the perfect time to conduct a personal audit and ask yourself:

  • What happened in this last cycle?

  • What do I want to let go of before the next cycle?

  • What intentions or projects do I want to bring in next?

Make yourself cozy, grab your favorite hot drink, a blanket, a candle, and just let the thoughts flow. Don’t overthink it - overthinking is the ultimate antidote to intuition.

A Word of Caution

When we experience PMS or anything of that sort, it is incredibly easy to misinterpret those fleeting, desperate feelings for actual intuition. Don’t try to overhaul your whole life in that state! Give yourself the restorative care you need and don’t expect anything massive from yourself. Once you get more used to living according to your cycle seasons, you will easily feel the difference between a temporary PMS dread and true, grounded intuition.

Now What?

Obviously, a reset without alignment brings you nowhere. You can’t manifest things without taking action - that’s just not how it works. It is also absolutely fine that your productivity - or let's say, your outward productivity, because reflections and resets are deeply productive! - is fluctuating. While you might feel a bit more sluggish in the late luteal and menstrual phases, you will easily score those achievements back in the upcoming weeks.

By leading with reflection, you will maximize your high-leverage output because your choices are entirely intentional. Because, again, you will naturally start to get your full outward power back during the follicular and ovulatory phases. This is exactly how you bring your reflections to life.
